Robert G. McNeil, Ph.D. | Chairman
Dr. McNeil earned his Ph.D. in molecular biology, biochemistry, and genetics in 1972 at the University of California, Irvine. His dissertation elucidated a portion of the mechanisms of control of protein synthesis and isolated several protein factors associated with ribosomes and protein synthesis. After graduating, Dr. McNeil chose to pursue a long-time interest in investing and joined Shuman Agnew & Co., an investment banking firm in San Francisco (currently the Morgan Stanley office) where he worked as a portfolio manager and investment analyst.

In 1973, Dr. McNeil founded and served as chairman of the board of Andron McNeil & Co., Inc., an investment advisory firm specializing in investments in small, publicly-held, emerging-growth companies. The firm's rate-of-return on investments in public equities under management was 33% per year, compounded annually. In 1979, overlapping the advisory firms activity an investment Partnership was developed, the antecedents of Sanderling   The firm completed the change of focus, to concentrate on seed venture investing, in 1985.

Dr. McNeil now serves as a founding Managing Director (along with Fred Middleton) of Sanderling Venture Partners,. The firm has focused on seed investments in the biomedical field, and he has helped form and manage many portfolio companies, with the support of the other members of the founding management team and at the behest of the venture capital investors in the company. Dr. McNeil currently plays active roles on the boards of several companies. Sanderling Ventures is the seed investor for many successful publicly held biomedical companies including Advanced Cardiovascular Systems (Guident), Ista Pharmaceuticals, Intermune Pharmaceuticals, Stentor, Stereotaxis,  ReGen Biologics and Dynavax.

Gordon C. Shore, Ph.D. | Chief Scientific Officer and Co-founder
Dr. Shore has pursued his academic career in the Department of Biochemistry and the Cancer Center at McGill University in Montreal. He is the author of over 120 research publications and is internationally recognized for his work in apoptosis, with emphasis on the role of apoptosis in cancer. He is the recipient of a number of scientific awards.

Dr. Shore oversees all discovery and preclinical research at Gemin X.

Timothy J. Barberich
Timothy Barberich founded Sepracor in 1984 and currently serves as its Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr. Barberich served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Sepracor from 1984 through 1999, at which time Mr. Barberich was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors. Sepracor became a publicly traded company in 1991 and has spun out four publicly traded companies: Chirex (which, through a series of acquisitions, was ultimately acquired by Rhodia in 2000); HemaSure which merged with Point Therapeutics (OTC BB: POTP.OB); BioSepra, now known as BioSphere Medical (Nasdaq: BSMD); and Versicor, now known as Vicuron Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: MICU).

Prior to founding Sepracor, Mr. Barberich spent 10 years at Millipore Corporation, a Bedford, Massachusetts-based company that provides leading separations products to diversified market segments including the life science research, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and electronic markets. While at Millipore, he held a variety of marketing, sales, and general management positions. Prior to Millipore, Mr. Barberich held project management and research scientist positions at American Cyanamid Company.

Mr. Barberich serves as Chairman of the Board of Sepracor, and as a board member of BioSphere Medical, Point Therapeutics and PhRMA, the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America.

Mr. Barberich holds a B.S. degree in chemistry from King's College.

Aaron Davidson, MBA
Aaron Davidson is a Managing Director of H.I.G. Ventures and focuses on investment opportunities in the life sciences sector. Prior to joining H.I.G., he was a Vice President with Ventures West with a focus on venture investing in life sciences companies. Mr. Davidson began his career with Eli Lilly Company, one of the largest global pharmaceutical companies. He spent a decade with Lilly in various management roles in the U.S. and Canada including business development, strategic planning, market research, and financial planning. After Lilly he spent a year as the Vice-President of Corporate Business Development at SYN-X Pharma. Mr. Davidson currently serves on the boards of Gemin X Biotechnologies Inc, HyperBranch Medical Technology, NeurAxon Inc., Novadaq Technologies Inc (public June 2005), Oncogenex Technologies Inc, Tranzyme Pharma and is a board observer at Avera Pharmaceuticals Inc. He served on the board of Salmedix Inc. prior to Cephalon’s acquisition of Salmedix in June 2005.

Mr. Davidson has earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University.

Glenn J. Gormley, M.D., Ph.D.| President and Chief Executive Officer
Prior to joining Gemin X, Dr. Gormley was Global Head of Clinical Development and Medical Affairs at Novartis. Prior to Novartis, he was Chief Medical Officer at AstraZeneca and a member of the executive management team. While at AstraZeneca Dr. Gormley served as a member of the Board of Trustees at the University of Delaware. Before joining AstraZeneca, he was Vice President and Head of U.S. Clinical Development at Merck & Co.

Dr. Gormley received his M.D. and Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Chicago and received board certifications in Pediatrics from UCLA and in Endocrinology from New York University.

Robert Gorman, Ph.D.
Dr. Gorman is the president of Saguaro Consulting, of Scottsdale, Arizona. He earned a Ph.D. from Colorado State University in 1970 and spent two years in postdoctoral training at S.U.N.Y Medical School, in Syracuse, New York. After his studies, he joined The Upjohn Company as a senior research scientist. Promotions followed, and in 1994 he was named corporate vice president for discovery research.

Following the merger of Upjohn with Pharmacia Corp., Dr. Gorman was appointed corporate senior vice president for discovery research. In August of 1997, Dr. Gorman retired from Pharmacia & Upjohn, and joined MPI Research Inc. Dr. Gorman has served on a number of national scientific committees, including N.I.H. Study Sections (1977-1991), PMA Pharmacology Study Section (1981-1985) and the Executive Council of the Thrombosis Council of the A.H.A. (1989-1992). Dr. Gorman has also served on the editorial boards of the Journal of Biological Chemistry, Prostaglandins, and Biochemical Pharmacology.

Dr. Gorman's research has focused on drug discovery with particular emphasis on arachidonate metabolism, thrombosis, oncogenes, signal transduction, and functional genomics. He is the author of more than 120 publications, and in 1976 and again in 1977 was recognized by Current Contents for having one of the 100 most heavily cited articles in scientific literature.

Andrew R. Jordan, CPA
Mr. Jordan is Chief Financial Officer and Chief Business Officer at InfraReDx. Mr. Jordan has significant experience in the many aspects of managing and building early stage companies. With over twenty years at KPMG and significant experience in assisting emerging growth technology-based companies, he helped to start Guilford Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in 1993 helping it through its initial public offering and helping it to grow from three employees to over three hundred employees. Mr. Jordan was instrumental in raising approximately $500 Million while at Guilford to support the Company’s research, development and commercial activities. He furthered his commercial experiences in 2004 by joining, Odyssey Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a specialty pharma company with sales of nearly $100 Million.

Mr. Jordan earned an MBA from Rutgers Graduate School and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Eric W. Roberts
In 2004, Mr. Roberts co-founded the Managing General Partner of the Caxton Advantage Life Sciences Fund. From 2000 to 2003, he was Managing Director and Co-Head of the Global Healthcare Investment Banking Group at Lehman Brothers. While at Lehman Brothers, he also served as a member of the Investment Banking Management Committee and as a member of the screening committee for the Lehman Brothers Healthcare Venture Capital Fund.

Prior to Lehman Brothers, Mr. Roberts was a Managing Director, Partner and founder of the Life Sciences Department at Dillon, Read & Co. Inc. where he worked from 1989 until 2000. He was made a Partner in 1996. In 1997, Dillon Read was merged into SBC Warburg which was then merged into UBS in 1998. At SBC Warburg and UBS, Mr. Roberts was a Managing Director and ran the Life Sciences investment banking teams. From 1986 to 1989, Mr. Roberts was an associate in the venture capital and mergers group at Citicorp Investment Bank. Mr. Roberts received a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1986.

Peter R. Dolan, BA, MBA

Peter Dolan served as chief executive officer of Bristol-Myers Squibb from 2001 to 2006. He joined Bristol-Myers Squibb in 1988 in the over-the-counter consumer products division and subsequently held senior management positions in the company¿s various businesses, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, consumer and medical nutritionals and consumer medicines. Mr. Dolan became president of the company and a member of its board of directors in January 2000, and served as chairman of the board from 2001-2005.

Mr. Dolan is currently a trustee of Tufts University, where he chairs the Administration and Finance Committee and serves on the Executive, Audit and Compensation Committees. He is a member of the board of overseers of the Tuck School at Dartmouth College. Additionally, he is also a member of the board of directors of the National Centre on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University and a member of the Business Council. He served on the boards of the American Express Company, C-Change (a cancer coalition organization), and was chairman of the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers¿ Association of America.

Mr. Dolan holds a B.A. from Tufts University and an M.B.A. from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
